Centre for community law and development
The Centre for Community Law and Development (CCLD) is a Centre of the Faculty of Law of the North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus. The Centre provides legal services, training, capacity building programmes and advisory services in the field of Law to all members of community sectors in the North West and Mpumalanga Provinces. The CCLD in co-operation with the Legal Aid Board (LAB) focuses on the rendering of free legal aid and advice services to the poor and indigent people in the areas where it operates. Equally important are the education and various training programmes presented by the CCLD. Through its activities the CCLD wishes to improve the quality of life of the people in the Provinces of the North-West and Mpumalanga.

§ Issuing summons and defending civil claims.
§ The Centre also operates from a satellite office at the Potchefstroom Magistrate’s Court, Room G33. This office is open from 8:00 to 13:00 from Mondays to Fridays
