ARCHIVAL MATERIAL

The following 193 lots comprise the pre-independence philatelic archive of Namibia Post including original artwork and proof material. The coverage is essentially from the period 1972/1990 (Independence 21 March 1990) with some earlier oddments. Sequence in the sale is by date order of issues with artwork (where included in the archive), layouts for first day covers, official post office bulletins etc and proof sheets duly approved for printing/issue. Some of the earlier proof sheets are found imperforate in uncut format. Approvals are generally in the upper or lower margins of the sheets and condition fine to very fine throughout unless specifically noted in the descriptions.
