Fashion designs of students impress adjudicators

Three third-year NWU Puk students of Consumer Sciences are finalists in a competition of Foschini. Leandri van Zyl, Inge van Heerden and Nadia Maree, went through to the penultimate round of the FAD (Fashion and Design) competition. This year the competition was divided into different phases, and groups of three students could enter. In each phase other requirements were set and they had to serve a variety of consumer groups. More than one hundred entries were received for the first phase after which it was decreased to six groups for phase two and four groups for the third phase. The NWU Puk students made it to the semi-finals. However, they were not one of the two groups that competed for first place. The recommendations and designs of the finalists and semi-finalists will appear in the Huisgenoot in August.
