Judicious Matsie, a voice student of Ms. Santisa Viljoen at the School of Music on the Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University, achieved exceptional success during external voice examinations in 2008. This little Judicious is from Kroonstad and was admitted as music student last year. Apart from the successful completion of the first year of the UDM programme she also registered for the Unisa practical voice examination and obtained 90%. Based on this performance, Unisa awarded her a Nellie du Toit merit bursary as the candidate who achieved the highest marks in her degree. She is included on the honours role of Unisa and her and her lecturer’s names will be published in the next issue of Unisa’s periodical.
