Die fokus van van my navorsing het verskeie aspekte van Voedselmikrobiologie met die klem op voedselveiligheid behels. Verskeie aspekte van isolasie van patogene en organismes wat dikwels by voedselbederf betrokke is, word ondersoek. Weens die komplekse aard van voedselsamestelling, die fisiologiese eienskappe van verskillende organismes, verskillende verwerkingsmetodes en voedselbymiddels is baie sisteme se werking nog nie uitgesorteer is nie. Toekomstige navorsing sal die verbruiker meer direk betrek.
