Keynote speakers

Philip de Vos has portrayed the roles of more than 40 different characters, of which many were solo performances, in operas, musicals and oratoria since 1962. He is also an acknowledged photographer, has published more than 40 rhyme translations of children's books and wrote lyrics for various animation programs broadcasted on television.

Prof. Odile Heynders is a co-professor in Literary Theory at the Tilburg University in the Netherlands. She is an expert in various fields, including Comparative Literary Science, Modernist Poetry, Reading Theories, Ethics and Postmodernism. 

Prof. Ntongela Masilela from Pitzer College in Claremont, California, specialises in Third World literature, Commonwealth Literature, African Literature and Postmodernism and more. He is also actively involved in the New African Movement.

Prof. Arnetha Ball from Stanford University is involved in research about teacher education.
