Fika van Rensburg

Fika J van Rensburg MA, ThD, professor in New Testament, Dean, Faculty of Theology, North-West University, Potchefstroom.


Research Areas: New Testament, specialising in (1) Socio-historic study of the New Testament; (2) Early Christianity and the Ancient Economy; (3) First Peter, presently focussing on soteriology, ethics and eschatology of 1 Peter; (4) Developing tools for the interpretation and translation of the Bible; (5) Interpretation of the New Testament for present day preaching.
Gives tuition on undergraduate and postgraduate level, focusing on Exegesis, Hermeneutics, Socio-historic context of the New Testament, Epistolography focused on the New Testament.
