International Conference

Make A Difference Day is the most encompassing national day of helping others -- a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Everyone can participate. Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Make A Difference Day is an annual event that takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October.
This is where the North-West University Chapter gives recognition to all undergraduate students studying at the university. The top 15% of each faculty are invited to be lifelong members of this prestigious society. The ceremony is very much like a graduation and each new member receives a certificate.
On 27 April 2004 the North-West University Chapter held their first ever Potchefstroom Campus Conference. It was not only a first for this chapter, but for all Golden Key Chapters in South Africa. Through the presentation of different workshops by corporate and campus representatives, the conference focuses on giving delegates some insights into different aspects of life and in helping them to develop skills that can assist them in developing their full potential. 2004 Saw the beginning of this event, but it is definitely sure to stay on our calendar for the years to come.
The North-West University Golden Key Chapter is part of the South African Region. Each year, a Regional Conference is held in a different location. Chapters submit applications to host the event. At this conference, delegates from each chapter have the opportunity to attend or conduct workshops on chapter activities, personal development, and professional development. This conference is also a great way to network with surrounding chapters and make new friends.
The opportunity to attend this international event is a traditional highlight of the Society membership. Whether a student or advisor, the International Conference are always marked by an exciting location, enlightening workshops with a focus on the Society's mission and values, and an energizing opportunity for each member to work to achieve success within themselves, within their chapters and across the globe.
